Il Civico Museo Revoltella di Trieste inaugurera nelle sale del VI piano, una mostra – progetto in cui alcuni capolavori di pittura e scultura astratta della collezione del Museo si confrontano con altri capolavori provenienti da raccolte private.

Opere di Fontana, Burri, Vedova, Santomaso, Capogrossi, dei tre fratelli Basaldella, e sculture di Viani e Arnaldo Pomodoro (nucleo della collezione astratta del Revoltella) dialogano con alcuni capolavori di Afro, Piero Manzoni, Antoni Tápies, Jean Arp, Enrico Castellani, Tancredi, Hans Hartung, Anselm Kiefer e Tony Cragg, dando vita a degli affascinanti CONTROCANTI.
